About the Book
Eulogy for the Stripes is a dystopian thriller set in a fractured America in 2049, one generation from now, as the constitutional republic begins to come apart.
The story opens in the Texas Panhandle, where a faith-based community has pooled its remaining resources to escape the crime-ridden cities and establish a tiny-home settlement with a church at its center.
The novel does not rely on the familiar nuclear, viral, or EMP paths into dystopia. Its threat is more grounded. If the story has a central premise, it is reality carried several steps farther down the road.
It is a cautionary tale about institutional pressure, constitutional erosion, and a future that may feel closer than we would like to admit.

Why I Wrote This Story
I wrote Eulogy for the Stripes because freedom rarely disappears all at once. It erodes through fear, pressure, and compromises that seem reasonable in the moment.
After years of working in high-stakes environments where institutions, technology, and people must perform under pressure, I wanted to explore what happens when those systems continue to function but no longer serve the people who depend on them. At the center of the story are ordinary families forced to decide who they are when stability, trust, and lawful order can no longer be taken for granted.
The World Beyond the Book
I grew up reading authors such as Stephen King and Tom Clancy and often wondered how they built the worlds behind their stories before the internet made it possible to share more of the creative process.
This website was designed as a companion to Eulogy for the Stripes, giving readers a place to explore its locations, music, imagery, interviews, artifacts, and commentary. Each element expands the experience without replacing the story on the page.
