As October comes to a close, I wanted to share a few updates from a busy but rewarding month.
I had the pleasure of returning to Barnes & Noble and 2nd & Charles in Conroe, Texas, for two more book signings of Eulogy for the Stripes. It’s always a privilege to meet readers, discuss the story, and hear their perspectives.
Another highlight was having my article, “How Ordinary Places Become Thrilling,” published in Lone Star Literary Life. In it, I share how an ordinary walk with my family through a familiar place in Houston brought back memories from my youth and military journey, eventually inspiring a scene in my novel. It’s a personal look at how real experiences can shape fictional worlds.
Behind the scenes, I’ve also begun developing an extended cinematic sequence that explores events leading up to Eulogy for the Stripes. It’s part of the larger story I’ve envisioned, and I’m looking forward to sharing it when it’s ready.
Meanwhile, my second novel already has a title, and I’m writing it. There’s much more of this world I want to explore, and I hope the next chapter delivers a few surprises.
Finally, I had an interesting trip this month that I’m looking forward to sharing in November.
Thank you, as always, for following along and supporting my work.
